I've tried Five Guys in Nashville and Detroit. The first time, I took my father to lunch in Nashville. It was only due to the hype. We ordered a burger each and one large fry.
It wasn't bad but it wasn't good. I've had better burgers at the on-post Burger King in Fort Benning, GA.

When I was walking around in Dowtown Detroit with a friend, she encouraged me to go to Five Guys. That was my second time. Since I didn't want to be like one of those annoying jackasses who whines and complains, I chose to not tell her about my experience in Nashville. Plus, everyone deserves a second shot. We went in and each ordered our burgers and a large fry to share.
Exact same outcome as the last time. The was not bad but the quality doesn't match the price. If I want a burger, I'll just stick with BK or Wendy's.
