I live in Canada and Corrections Canada has a massive shortage of recruits. You get sent to Ottawa to train for a few months then pick a few locations you want to work at. Some of the new Corrections Officers are working 10-20 hours of overtime a week and banking months of vacation or cashing out to pull in 100k+. Border Services Canada is also hiring like crazy and again you just need a highschool diploma. The RCMP is also hiring a bunch and pays similar. There's also a massive shortage of elevator technicians (30-40/hr), general trades (20-40+/hr), Pilots (I know a few young guys pulling in 70k+ only 3-4 years in), Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (35/hr) and those are all jobs you only need about 1-2 years of training for. Stop blaming society for being a failure, there's so many opportunities right now and you only have yourself to blame for not taking advantage of them.

There's another genre of restaurant that adds a mandatory "tip" to all its bills, they are specifically catering to a certain demographic. A certain amount of passive-aggression is necessary to function in society. If I punched every person who irritated me, I'd be in prison. So in that sense, we all are passive-aggressive. But in an everyday practical sense, aggression/anger are healthy. They should be handled by punching a pillow, or jogging, or crying, or talking to a loved one or etc. Then, once the human emotions of the situation have been mitigated, address the person or issue with words and try to find a workable solution.

A "mass exit" is immature in this instance. All that really happened was that these individuals learned a basic lesson - if a company is doing things you don't like, either decide the job is still worth it and do your best like an adult, or give notice of resignation and part ways with them like an adult. Two options. Pick one. No dragging ass, showing up drunk, etc. All that will do is get you fired and a bad reference for future work.
