I've had the opposite experience, but I'm not black myself. Unless it's a higher end shop where they screen those types out. A black cashier in a minimum wage position is usually going to be a mildly tense interaction. The whites pretend to be friendly and while you can tell they hate you, they give you a fake smile and a have a nice day. The blacks glower at you and will try to argue over anything they can grab onto. You used the wrong word while ordering, or whatever.

I'm talking about females obviously. Male cashiers are pretty much the same, black or white.

Good work ethic is important in Mexican culture no matter what shit paying job it is. Black people people constantly call off work, come in smelling like weed, fake injuries to get workers comp, are slow and lazy af, and managers are too scared to say anything about their work ethic for fear of being called racist, so they make all the nonblacks carry their weight for them. This is what pissed me off the most about retail and fast food. It wasn't the customers, it was all the nogs working with me

But there are exceptions. My local Lee's Chicken is all operated by elderly black ladies, and it's amazing. Friendly fast customer service and the fried chicken is the best in town
