How does /ck/ feel about SPAM?

I have two cans of SPAM in my cabinet, along with a sweet potato, some regular potatoes, like half an onion, and some other generic stuff. Would it be possible to just cube the SPAM and the sweet potato and maybe some onion and just wrap it in some tinfoil and toss it in the oven? What else do you think I could do with it for dinner tomorrow? What are your favorite SPAM recipes?

Love it. I'm partial to SPAM musubi, being from Hawaii and all, but I like it in all sorts of things. It goes great with eggs and rice, stir-fry, veggies, you name it

Same here. You really want to fry it, OP, to crisp up the the outside a bit (no need to add extra fat, if that wasn't obvious). Can't really get behind roasting it like you suggested (not that the ingredients wont all go together) - but then again, sometimes I eat it right out of the can drunk with an iced tea spoon at 3 am.

spam is best used on a sandwhich, nice bread, bit of mayo, tomato, lettuce, cheese, pickles.
you can fry it up but I can confirm that you will have it once and be okay with it, then do it again and be sick of it immediately.

I would do what you suggested but in the pan instead of the oven. Maybe add black pepper too

My guilty pleasure is making a stew with onions, tomatoes, spam, sauerkraut, baked beans and chili paste. I know this sounds horrible but it tastes so good.

I made pea soup with spam in place of ham once and it was by far the worst smelling farts and shit I've ever had

Weird, I've been getting the same with almost every meal where I substituted something for spam.

I like spam. when i'm really drunk or lazy I slice off a bit and just have it on bread, but most of the time I slice it thin and fry low and slow until it's chewy

I like to use it for my eggs benedict because I can't get proper canadian bacon.

Fuckin delicious. I cube it and fry it up and add it to my eggs. I've also added it to my ramen. It's great pork substitute for a lot of dishes

By pork substitute I mean substituting it for an actual pork cut.

I have to eat it fried. I can't eat it if it's microwaved or straight out of the can. I like to cut them moderately thin and then fried until crispy. It should still have a little bit of soft meat in the middle and I'll eat it with rice

Fat and highly processed meat, most likely from shoulder of pork, which Hormel was trying to sell to consumers. The name could plausibly stand for 'Spiced Ham' or 'Shoulder of Pork and Ham'.

my best friend's dad made us spam for breakfast when I spent the night one night.
looked fucking awful, like a pink gelatinous prolapsed anus. but they swore it tasted just like ham.
he fried both sides of a couple slices, and shit was pretty bomb.

How do you feel about sprinkling some sugar on there before you fry it? Someone I know swears by it. It makes it look better, but I'm not too sure about the taste.

I mix a little sugar and soy sauce in the pan for a simple teriyaki after frying and then add the spam back in when I make musubi. Never heard of just sprinkling sugar on.
