This. They try so hard to come across like what they're doing is better than fast food but it isn't. It's just fast food for people who wouldn't be caught dead in a McDonald's because they think they're better than that. But they obviously don't know any better because they're eating here.

i love panera. i'm not sure why, because its not good, but dammit bros, panera just does it for me. the atmosphere is so cozy. the coffee and sandwiches are not great, but good enough that your happy with them. the staff is always super nice and pleasant. i have a lot of good memories sneaking out my fuckbuddies apartment in the morning and going straight to panera for some coffee and a turkey avocado sandwich. for me, it doesn't get any better.

Pasta, soups, come in bags. All meat comes in frozen, chicken is like the subway soy based shit.

All bread is made elsewhere, comes in frozen and thawed out, same with baked goods, etc.

The idea started off good since they had bakers, full on cooks etc at each location. And it was run like your typical local sandwich lunch spot.
Now it's this abomination.

It's alright. There's one down the street from the company I work at, and they sometimes get catering from there. Not having to pay for it makes it taste better.

Chipotle at least gets in fresh meats and veggies and peeps everything.

I get the soups part, but do pastas need to come in microwave bags? Does the meat need to be frozen? It's just another idiot proof franchise cash grab like subway.

This. The only reason they're in business is because people are lazy.

steak white cheddar, but i would slice the pickle long way and add some ham then put it on the press for a make shift cuban sandwhich, the one they have now is a mockery

Went there once because I had a free coffee coupon. I served myself the coffee out of one of those big metal coffee thermos things. The whole place reminded me of a retirement home cafeteria. I was very perplexed that Panera had any kind of prestige about it. The atmosphere was that of a men's shelter or addiction treatment centre.

Mediocre sandwiches that are small and over priced. It's fast food for women and soy boys who think they are above eating at a place like Subway

Worked at Panera for 7 years up to around 2014. I loved making a steak and white cheddar on a croissant, leave out the onions. Out of the press it was flaky, sweet, savory and melted in your mouth. Another good one is tuna, avocado and bacon on a toasted croissant. I miss when they used to actually bake the baguettes instead of heating up premade ones. Fucking old people and their teeth, DON'T GET THE FUCKING BAGUETTE IF YOU CAN'T EAT YOU OLD CUNTS BOOMERS RUIN EVERYTHING

hahaha wow i started working there in 2014, all the way up till 2016, had enough of thier bullshit management, especially the fucking GM.
>I loved making a steak and white cheddar on a croissant, leave out the onions. Out of the press it was flaky, sweet, savory and melted in your mouth
i would fuck around with making monster sandwiches on different bread and with different meats, coworkers and i would grab a piece of parchment paper, put it on the press, heat it up, add some butter then some of the (((grilled onions))) and add more pepper and salt. made the sandwich 100% better
>I miss when they used to actually bake the baguettes instead of heating up premade ones.
ours werent premade at all, we actually got them fresh from the oven, even though we always ran out
