When I was in 6th grade I'd usually come home and make myself a grilled cheese on the George Foreman grill. One of the first things I'd really learned how to "cook" for myself.
The grill would press the sandwich like a panini and some of the cheese would ooze out and get slightly charred and crispy. One of the best parts.
Or Kraft Easy Mac. I swear in the late '90s/early '00s Kraft also made little microwaveable cups of rotini pasta with packs of tomato sauce
