To the anon who asked about this: it’s onions, tomatoes and peppers sweated with garlic, paprika, cumin, chilli and black pepper, then wilt in spinach. Now crack in eggs ontop and prices of cheese, I use goats to off set the sweetness of the tomatoes, then bake in the oven. Eaten with thick cut toasted bread.

I think it's alright for a pretty small apartment. Not a whole lot of cabinet space, but plenty of prep space on the island.

Not OP but I have a big butcher block island(8'x4') and after oiling it a bunch at the beginning, it's now only about once a month so it's not a real problem. I love it.

I guess large floor tiles are a pretty cheap way to make a counter, but did you really have to build everything that fucking heavy?

Can't you glue the tiles on plywood and then just throw it on cheap particle board cabinets without all that masonry?

>> No.11944831

>>11944807

I plan kneading bread and putting pressure on the counter, I asked the contractor for a resistant counter that can take all the work. He suggested two brick walls and a heavy counter, we did the numbers and I couldnt only afford large tiles for the the counter.

I know it's cheap but please take into consideration I live in a shithole and this kind of things are very costly. But that doesnt mean I want to have a disaster of a kitchen.

You made a good decision on the materials. Did you manage to make it sturdy with all the brick and mortar, or did you leave gaps or is it going to settle wonky? The sink looks tiny, but it'll do if you don't use any large cookware or boards. Get some ventilation for the stove top.
