Enough!
I am sick of doing the dishes (I don't have a dishwasher) and I am sick of cleaning up after cooking.
What can I eat with minimal cleanup without needing to spend a fortune going out to eat every day?

At this point I'd rather starve than spend more time cleaning the kitchen.

styrafoam plates and microwaving. that's about it.

Why not use disposable plates ? They even have disposable bowls and pots. Not really cost effective though.

There's also Frozen Dinners, but say hello to Heart disease and high blood pressure.

I am sorry that your time is so worthless that you don't mind spending it doing meanial tasks like scrubbing dishes.

If you want to meet in the middle, do what >>11931936 said. There isn't much to be done about cookware, but cutting out the plate, silverware and glass makes the job easier.
If you don't want to wash cookware every night, make big batch stuff like chili, soup, or meal prep shit and just wash all that stuff the one day. Still use disposables and you'll only have a couple small things to clean up every night.
Alternatively, make doing the dishes fun. Make a playlist of songs you can sing along with and give no fucks about the neighbors, or run a show or movie you don't necessarily need to look at to grasp what's going on and listen to it as you work.

I like to make chicken tendie wraps, just oven bake tenders on a piece of parchment paper (no mess), then put them on wraps with a bed of cheese on the bottom and some smokey barbecue sauce on top. Fold closed and microwave for 30 seconds per wrap so the cheese is gooey. Put a piece of paper towel down on the plate first in case any sauce leaks, then just throw out the paper towel and put the plate back in the cupboard.

I also eat this meal almost every day because I'm an autistic NEET.

In college I bought a bunch of really cheap ceramic and plastic plates and just threw them in the garbage after each use, would highly recommend if you're as monumentally lazy as I am.

Here is a tip that might help. I only own 3 plates, 3 bowls, 3 spoons, etc. You either do your dishes after you use them, or in a short time you won't have any to use. Wash you pots and pans right after using them, it's much easier than cleaning them the next day. If you aren't going to wash it that day, make sure to let it soak in water overnight. Use aluminum foil when baking things, either line the pan with it, or use it as a pan. But honestly the best thing to do is just do your dishes immediately after using them. It takes like 5 minutes, don't be a lazy faggot.

You do realize you are going to wash the same amount of dishes regardless right? The only difference is how much time at once you are going to spend at once. It's overall easier to do them right after you use them and takes a negligible amount of time. You can gladly wait days to do you dishes, but you are doing it wrong.

Never said anything about waiting to do the dishes.
I can't stand dirty dishes so not doing them right away is not an option.
I just want meal ideas that don't require you to dirty cutting boards, knifes, pots etc.

I try to:
>cook most of my everyday meals in two pans max
>pay attention to maintaining nonstick coatings
>use the same bowl for prep tasks that I used to eat (might work worse for meat eaters)
>do stirring/frying tasks with chopsticks that I then eat with
>get up from eating to rinse pans after 5 mins of cooling to avoid damage but minimize stickiness

I've found I get a lot better at avoiding mess once I've made a particular recipe a couple of times and can focus on it.

You can buy 1000 paper plates on Amazon for cheap. Or do one pan meals some steak and side of mushrooms and onions after you're done with the steak. Or just don't be a pussy and learn to enjoy the whole process of cooking which includes cleaning up after yourself.

You are the kind of person I would like the detailed daily routine, with timings. Just to have an idea of your time drains, which I assume you find highly valuable (assuming you're aware of them). I think anybody saying "I don't have time for X" is a hypocrite and should say "I'm not willing to take the time for X" instead.

Have you posted this before? I saw a similar post in the past. Regardless, I started doing this and it is superior to using a dishwasher in every way. It's nice to look at the sink and see nothing every time. No need to feel lazy for not wanting to do dishes because there are never dishes sitting there to do. I have seen the light good sir and I fully endorse your advice.

Agreed 100%.

I don't find dishes to be a big deal. I clean up while I'm cooking. Skillet needs to heat up? Wash a couple plates while that's happening. That kinda thing. There's lots of short pauses in cooking that you can use for cleaning up.
