I remember when Arby's bought Wendy's.
Before I could finish my "Get ready for half size items" joke, my coworker pulled up an article with Arby's' then-CEO crowing that their first priority was to keep the sandwiches the same size.

"...aw shit," someone said. Our entire group was silent for a couple seconds. Dave Thomas had been dead for years, but it suddenly felt real for the first time. It's just fast food, but in that moment Wendy's was gone and a doppelganger was busking the corpse.
Sure enough, barely 3 months later the buns and meat were quietly resized, the burgers measuring 40% smaller.
