My gf got me some le cruset pans from Williams Sonoma for my bday and long story short they are too small and I’m returning them and going to buy a nice knife? Anyone hav suggestions for nice brands? I already have a decent chefs knife but idk it could be better
Also I hate Williams Sonoma and literally never go there because they are overpriced as hell but my gf isnt a cook and doesn’t know anywhere else to buy quality kitchen stuff so something they sell there would be appreciated

I was thinking about this and maybe a heavy duty meat cleaver, but I also need a 6qt big stock pot and idk those are probably pretty expensive

Chinese meat cleavers are based. I needed to try one out after seeing asians use them for literally everything in the kitchen.

Should this be something that I just go get in Chinatown then? There’s a shotload of cheap restaurant supply stores down there and I needed to go there for groceries today anyways

Maybe, I bought mine online, I'd be wary of some of the stuff you can find in asian markets, it may look nice and be sharp in the store, but if it's shit steel it'll dull quick and just become a pain to use.
