When I worked for pest control in my uni days I would bring a gallon size freezer bag full of hardboiled eggs and munch on those while hoing from jobsite to jobsite. Suprisingly, rats love hardboiled eggs, so I started dusting a few with rodenticide dust when I ran out or regular baits.
There have been occasions where I accidentally chomped on one of those and ended up in the ER that evening.
