Ever cut your finger during slicing?
I have a couple times. One time as temping, in my thumb, that needed a stitch.

yes. i was cutting onions just now and caught the edge of my middle fingernail. it wasn't enough to bleed at all, but it happened right about the time that you were making this thread.

No my mother taught me to curl my fingers so the knife can only cut your knuckles unlike you autists

Yes but it was cutting a piece of beef that was very giggly, had to make two steaks out of a thin piece and cut myself

Once while cutting pork loin chops on a bandsaw, a piece of bone caught on the blade and splintered sending shards into my hand. It sucked but thanks to some quick decisions from my coworker I was at the er within 10 minutes where they removed the shards and got me all patched up. No stitches needed but there was a lot of fragmentation.

I was using a mandoline on potatoes for au gratin. I still have a scar on my fingertip.

The only time that I have ever cut myself was when I was slicing a lego brick and my pocket knife folded closed onto my index finger, almost took it off

this is exactly why i would never be a butcher. with my luck i'd end up losing a finger on the band saw.

i've cut my fingers on knives, mandolines, rotary slicers, etc. more times than I care to admit. then there's also the burns and bruises. i've burned my hand and forearm many times just from cleaning the flat top.

You really need to sharpen your knife of the cow was giggling at your attempts at dispatching it.
Are you sure you were using a knife and not a feather?

Never. Only retards cut themselves. What’s so difficult about keeping your hands/fingers away from the blade?

>> No.11870038

Only when using a knife drunk or stoned but even then only minor cuts.

This guy has it right. Just curl your fingers and you'll have a nice natural barrier.

I have a dull knife and cant afford a new one. I was cutting frozen meat and it slipped and cut off a piece of my index finger. Feels bad man.

No, and I cut both safely and unsafely but not that fast chopping/slicing you see people do.
