I worked at a sonic for a little over a year in rural Kentucky. These are the top items that sold in order of popularity. Corn dogs really didn’t sell unless they were the big sale days which we sold about 43 boxes on average (half of a walk in freezer)

Sonic typically has really good sales. During the summer, they have half priced milkshakes which is a great deal.. you can get a large for like 2 dollars. In flyover states, going to sonic counts as a night out. We seriously make it an event, it is actually pretty comfy. But most people don’t get value meals with the burgers, it’s usually just corn dogs,hot dogs,tots, drinks, ice cream, and so on. Maybe the occasional dollar menu chicken strip sandwich or dollar hamburger. Literally no one gets a premium burger at sonic.
