Is burnt food bad for you?

When I was a kid, i remember when i fucked up and burnt my toasts or something, my mom always thought me "dont worry, some charcoal is good for you and your stomach" so i had the impression that eating some burnt food now and then has some benefits.
Recently, i started reading online that its actually bad for you and especially stuff like burnt meat gives you cancer.
Whats the truth?

It's pretty much impossible for that to happen. "Acrylamide" can give you cancer, but only if you're exposed to higher amounts than you'd ever get from eating burned meat, like you'd have to work in a profession that uses concentrated acrylamide for something.

It's not "bad" for you but doesn't have much nutritional content. Eating a blackened piece of toast would be like eating paper, your stomach would mostly process it but it wouldn't give you any energy and you might feel a little sick. I think the only non-organic substance we really consume is salt. Also yes we do use charcoal as food, we use liquid charcoal as a way to treat someone who has taken an overdose, I know this as I tried to kill myself and the fuckers forcefed it to me.

people eat charcoal to get rid of "toxins" so I'm sure you'll be fine

A lot of the meaningful vitamins and nutrients are wasted if you burn food, but sometimes it tastes better. Cheese for example, tastes great when browned.

Apparently burned foods are carcinogenic, but that doesn't mean you will get cancer from it. Burned foods are bad because they taste like shit and can make you feel ill.

Yes. Burnt meat or burnt toast is bad for you because the burnt part possesses carcinogens, which can increase the risk of cancer.

Sometimes I 'accidentally' burn my toast after smoking weed in the house to mask the smell.

You understand that you need to wat like a kilo of burnt food every single day to increase the chance of getting cancer right?
Eating a burn toast or piece of meat on an accident once or twice a year literally means nothing.
If anything, ingesting small amounts of charcoal now and them might be beneficial for your digestion

>> No.11845664

op you don't want carcinogens in your mouth and travelling down your throat and esophagus and through your colon.

Basically, the stuff that burnt food is causes cancer.
The thing that people forget is that you would need to eat an ungodly amount of burnt food for it to actually affect you in any way.

Burnt food is bad for you, but only in absurd doses.

Logically, burnt foods are of oxidation correlatives, and intakes of both vitamin C and antioxidants are minimalistic.

>Vitamin C is evidenced as basically non-effective at even 5x RDA (300mg), with efficacy at (albeit, with no inbetween metrics) 15g / day.
>Omega 3s are benefiting telomere lengths.
> … Nutritional abundance is obviously what is producing cellular stability and youthfulness.
