Pancakes done right are better than waffles.

The whole point of waffles is that the indentations retain more syrup. Hence, the "good" part of a waffle isn't the waffle, it's the shit you put on it.

Pancakes on the other hand don't require you to drown out their flavor with syrup. Just a bit to coat the stack is all you need, unless you're a manchild and need pure sugar in stupid amounts.
