I miss old-timey advertising like this; times were simpler then.

All the locations I've been to since then carry it, but the only "all day breakfast" items are the mcmuffin or sausage biscuit. I still get my steak bagels once a week in the morning

They still sell them at my local McDonald's, I just had one yesterday morning. They only sell the steak in the morning though.

They did! And it was upsetting because it was the only good breakfast item.

1980s McDonalds ads used to be geared towards white families and had a real wholesome vibe. Sometime in the late 1990s they switched their ad focus towards blacks, and not long after you got the "I'm loving it" bullshit.

I honestly think this was a major mistake. It was around this same time that McDonalds began to be seen as low class and trashy to the white middle class.

That's the general trajectory of advertising as a whole. It got quicker, punchier and more excited as time went on. Nothing to do with black audiences. Everything to do with broader society.

Damn, I wish I knew what it was like to pour extra steak sauce on my sandwich, put a layer of crispy onions on it and dip it in ketchup.
is there anything on the market that compares to the steak?

back into the late nineties they had the mclean deluxe. the size of a quarter pounder patty. I wasn't half bad.
