What's the perfect duration for hot coffee enjoyment? I feel like once it's slightly below the point where it doesn't burn my gums anymore, it's perfect. But then you got only like 10 minutes until it reaches room temperature and becomes yucky.
So, I like to wait for my coffee to cool off a little and then pretty much chug it. What's your secret/habit?

It's possible to burn one's own gums?
I didn't know.
I guess I thought they were therma-proof just like my teeth or throat. Only my tongue has ever complained, but it's always been such prima donna

I prefer it as hot as possible. I usually make coffee with a moka pot and drink it as soon as it's done

Brew it around 195-200° F depending on the bean, give it a minute to cool and enjoy the sips riding the temp down

I just keep drinking it until it's gone. I brew nice coffee so it tastes good both warm and at room temperature. I never reheat coffee because that makes it taste bad.

i prefer it to a but warmer than room temperature. not too hot and i'll often add an ice cube into my espresso, if i'm having it as espresso. otherwise i'd just add cold milk to cool it down like i do with the moka pot coffee.

""perfect"" is subjective and what you're having with it can effect a lot of things, including your prefered temperature.
i usually have my coffee with breakfast, which is always oat porridge, so warm oats with warm coffee means i don't want me coffee to be too hot.
but if i have another coffee in the afternoon in a cafe i'll have a bottle of cold water with me so i can tollerate a hotter coffe.

hope that makes a bit of sense.

sipping temperature is 63C/145.4F
I do most of the actual drinking at 57-58C and I really prefer to finish it before it hits 54C

brew it as close to 205 deg f as possible (gets hot as it can without boiling & burning the coffee)
put it in a thick mug
I usually drink it through a metal straw to try and keep coffee from staining my teeth, so i may be getting the colder coffee that settles on the bottom because heat rises

if it's getting to be a problem, buy one of those mug re-heaters

Once your cigarette reaches the filter, you should be done with your coffee.
