I was told that we keep beer in the fridge at work and was invited to bring my own. This is my go to, but I am open to suggestions. Preferably something darker that my co-workers might enjoy as well.

If they're casuals, smithwicks.

I usually assume people drink big brands, so yeah. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll probably pick up a pack

This. Get a feel for the atmosphere of the place. If they're just bringing in basic bitch stuff, Smithwicks, Guinness, Michelob Amberbock, and Shiner Bock are all acceptable. You don't want to be "that guy" who brings fancy craft beer if nobody else does.

That's the classiest malt liquor. You could do far worse.

Mickey's is pretty good. A whole different level than the washing machine fluid that is Keystone Ice.

Either a construction worker or a programmer. Considering that they're stuffing soyboy craftbeers in the fridge instead of macro piss I'm gonna say programmer.

Bicycle repair shop.
Often they'll accept a case of beer for small jobs instead of cash, since they were just going to spend that cash on beer anyway.

I work in a law office and everyone has a bottle of bourbon or cognac in their desk. I just put books back into the reference library.

I like milk stout but it's pretty expensive to bring unless you like your coworkers a lot. I usually grab fat tire since you can get a six or 12 pack pretty cheap

Don't bring a nitro beer. You need to actually pour those, so the glassware will be annoying. Get something light and easy to drink. Wheat beers seem to please even non-beer drinkers in my experience. Can't go wrong with a Boulevard Wheat or Hoegaarden.

You can tell a lot about a man by the beer he drinks, and if you're buying this for yourself and others then it needs to be no other than a baleywine style ale.
Maybe new releases and different styles from major imports and domestics like Corona Familiar or Guinness Nitro IPA.

we keep hard liquor in our desks. in my row it goes captain morgan, dewars white label (me), maker's mark, dubious mescal that was probably made in a bathtub, jameson. beer at work is a management ploy to get us to drink less.
