I'm not OP but I think quick oats are best when cooked in a microwave, much better than cooking them on a stove.

Why do yuropoors and boomers hate convenience so much? Microwaves are great and the stupid problems people complain about with them are easily preventable basic shit like using the right amount of time with a sensible power level, positioning the food correctly, using the right amount of water, etc.

>> No.11732785

>>11732329

stop buying shitty oats then. they'll never pop if you go authentico and a decent 1m/30s

Why do buzz word users like yourself ignore how easy it is too cook without them, so long as you are willing to dirty a couple more dishes? (unless you eat from the pot like an animal)

>> No.11732799

>>11732785
It would happen regardless of the oats/oat mixture. The "pop" happens because the moisture is highly concentrated within the interior of the oat mush. This happens as you leave it too long and the mush starts to dry around the exterior regions. The heated interior expands with hot water vapor and "pops".

Why would I want an alternative to something that already works fine with minimal effort and maximum speed and convenience? You're assuming some sort of problem with microwaves for heating basic shit when it does that task as well as any other option. How fucking pretentious do you have to be to have a stuck up attitude on heating oatmeal of all things?

Seems like I touched a nerve? Pretentious? You seem fairly ignorant about such things. Is it not pretentious for you to go around labeling all those who prefer to not use a microwave when they don't need to, as "yuropoors and boomers", as if choosing a different method that barely takes a few more minutes, is somehow a bad thing? It's not that we "microwave haters" choose to disregard the utility of a microwave because we have some stuck up attitude about proper cooking methods. The fact is, the majority of us choose not to have such appliances that only find limited uses. If you don't choose to eat quick meals that tend to be overly processed garbage food, then why would you need another big appliance that takes up space?
