Get ready to be bombarded by a dozen different Imperial stouts by everybody. Since you like Guinness and seem relatively inexperienced, try something like Deschutes Obsidian Stout or Sierra Nevada's Stout. For a treat, if you can find it, get this. Their Organic Chocolate Stout is also really good.

You literally can't get Samuel Smiths anywhere, and I study in fucking Yorkshire. I assume it's just a myth spread by butthurt northerners who can't deal with Fullers London Porter in every waitrose.
