I dunno about this, guys.

Just give in. You have no willpower. It's inevitable.

>> No.11698232

It takes more than 2 days obviously, also it can kill your ass if you don't do it right. Go see a doctor and get some mild Benzos to make it easier.

>> No.11698235

Also trying to quit.
Going to get tested for weed soon, so thats off the table as a fallback. I'm allowing myself to have beer, but nothing stronger.
Even with beer, Im in a world of hurt and anxiety. My body has gotten so used to vodka its pretty much required. This sucks, good luck anon

There's this book called The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg that says most things can be looked at as a habit.

He says habits are activated by cues, which follow a routine, and end in a reward. So to change a habit, all you need is to change the routine part since its the most malleable to change.

It requires you to sit down and think what triggers your habit though and why it feels rewarding but once you just switch the routine part you're all good to reprogram that shit.

Once you get 4 or 5 days under your belt you get rolling. You'll feel better, you'll enjoy not feeling anxious about your habit. Your body will feel healthier. Not amazing, but healthier.

The worst thing to deal with will be boredom. Be ready for boredom.

> Going to get tested for weed
Why on Earth would you ever work for some slave owner that dictates whether or not you can smoke a harmless plant? What kind of job requires you to be this much of a literal cuck?

In 'Murrica, damn near every job requires a drug screen.
Alcohol, however, is legal and heavily promoted and marketed.

Jesus that sucks. I'm in Canada, and realistically I look at the US as the better country with more freedoms in a lot of regards, but it's kind of shitty that employers actually can drug test you for weed.

I did a booze free stint last year. Lost a lot of weight. Might do the same this winter.

I've made it 4 days without drinking and I'm doing fine but i still haven't done a solid shit.
How long before I can back out a solid log again?

This is day two for me, as well. Went a month, then got hammered and woke up in the drunk tank. My wife and kids were witness to the cops cuffing me. I don't remember shit.
I've been drinking for eighteen years. Gonna start AA on Sunday.
Good luck, broham.
