Has anyone ever noticed how strange and muted some npcs act in restaurants? Is it designed to save on cpu power or something?

They'll sit staring at each other mutely with expressionless faces, even when delicious food is dropped right in front of them. They'll stare mindlessly at their phones, occasionally darting down and monotonously consuming their food, as if they're eating out for some ritual act, not to enjoy great food and the company of other people.

Why even fucking eat out that point?

I act similarly at restaurants, because personally, I'm a very animalistic eater, I prefer to enjoy meals alone or within my own "cave" so to speak, I eat at restaurants as to not turn down people who invite me, but I do end up being a bit tense/muted just because I feel a bit naked eating in public, eating seems in my gut to be a vulnerable time, in which I do not feel quite comfortable enough with a bunch of strangers around me who could be in wilderness terms, potential threats, even though I know they're not that's just the electropsychic feeling in my body that vibrates with those learned passions. I will generally be less sociable, more muted, and perhaps even a little overly friendly/formal to the staff, who I only want to come in and out as quickly as possible and with no issues.
