I don't know if its entry level, but I made it a few times and I didn't died from it.

Salmon in parchement paper (the version I have is from a book by Julia Childe and Jacques Pepin), which basically steams the salmon and gets lemon butter all the way through while also cooking the veggies.

If you don't want to mess with salmon right away, you can get some cheap tilapia pieces and marinade it in a chili-lime mix and make some tacos. Since whitefish tends to be a little boring, there is absolutely no shame in covering the fuck out of the flavor.
