Its not escaping from anything; it makes the real world excrutiatingly real. They arent very fun IMO, more of a tool than an escape.

Alcohol, coke, speed, heroin, ecstasy, k, smokable DMT, that shits all used to escape reality. Totally not the same at all.

Personally i learned a lot sbout empathy and also the inherent meaninglessness and overcomplicstion of life/how disgusting consumerism truly is. That being said i dont plan on taking any more psychedelic drugs and think people who wont shut the fuck up about them are worse than blazeit fags

what in the hell are you on about? transcendental meditation? OBE? High on life?
I would much rather eat some mushrooms. I can control the dose. almost every time I've had them, I pray for spiritual revelation while eating/drinking them. and I always get it.
