good taste op

I've heard Duvel is better
also Barbar, Maredsous

Most Belgian blond ales are at least 6% ABV but some good weaker ones are La Trappe Puur and Chimay Dorée Goud.

I've had Chimay Grande Reserve but never seen the one you mentioned.
Hopefully Bevmo carries these suggestions.

That's not a pilsner is it? Not a fan of skunky pilsners.
I like heffes, though.

It's a very complex and tasty beer despite its low ABV. Actually my very favorite I think although I have a few candidates.

Check out Lambric beers. They are usually sweetened so they don't even taste strong, they're about the same as Leffe if not slightly stronger

Leffe generally gets shit in Belgium for being to sweet and actually, for real, adding refined sugar (before fermentation, but still). Similar ones I like all have higher alcohol content.
>>11665106
Duvel is pretty sour though, some people really dislike it. it's also pretty much thee least intereting one he could get

Excellent

I'm not into those at all and in case you misread the op, I'm looking for something with lower alc content.
>>11665142
I didn't realize it until reading this but you're right, leffe blond is a little sweet. I fucking hope that's not why I like it so much. It does probably explain why they'll give you a shitty hangover, though.

That glass is just all kinds of wrong. What a gay ass glass to pour beer into.
I blame millennials.

>> No.11665321

I see, my bad. (I'm >>11665006) I honestly haven't had many beers I've liked with a lower ABV than Leffe, besides Moosehead, Red Stripe, and Tecate. Maybe the occasional Stella.
I think the sweetness in Leffe comes from the vanilla so maybe look for other vanilla infused lagers or blondes?

I normally don't like sugary shit. Leffe blond doesn't really seem that sweet to me other than the aroma, and even then it's more floral.
Maybe because I'm drinking it via bottle here in the u.s.?
Idk but I'm going to try a few of the other beers mentioned here.
Any more suggestions?

No idea about the aspartame, but it is quite sweet. Lots of sour cherry taste as well. Not read the reviews before but it seems quite divisive, personally I think it's bloody delicious.

This person is an idiot.

The taste is a little sweet, but also very tangy. It reminds me kind of vinegar, but its a very nice beer.

You could try pic related as well. Its very similar for about half the price.

Also im not sure how we got here, because neither of these beers is anything like the one in OPs post.

Yeah they literally put tons of alcohol in it and if you drink more than 2, it gives you a ridiculous hangover.
I like to drink 4 to 6 beers throughout a day during the holidays and too much alcohol kills me now. I'm not a kid anymore and take longer to recover from drinking. Also, kill yourself for being a faggot lel

It highly relies on where you live. Leffe is one of the most commercial Belgian beers and obviously different from local watery beers you might have. I don't know if they sell Innis Gunn outside UK, but it's quite similar and weaker.

not OP but you can stumble upon Innis & Gunn very easily here in Canada. My friend enjoys it a bit while I'm more ambivalent towards it.

Ola Dubh is my favourite beer from Scotland though, and in my top 5 UK beers I've tried yet.

Fuller's Belgian Lancer made me gay for UK beers, and I somehow was able to get it in shitty Polish shop, while it's kinda problematic to get even in UK. I honestly don't know how it works and how they manage to profit, especially on Belgian weeks at Lidl. My local craft beer shop clerk was going ballistic how incredibly cheap they sell incredibly good beers - and I can attest, these deals are unreal.

Innis Gunn have excellent strong beers and definitely tops whatever shitty over hopped beer Brewdog shits out frequently. Maturing beer in barrels does work wonders.

That's not accurate in the slightest.
Imagine a spicy dark beer, but instead of sweet floral/chocolate/whatever taste, you get a sour vinegar taste alongside the deep "beery" taste.
I really enjoyed it personally, a lot more than other "sours" which just taste unpleasantly acidic and bitter.

I found some innis at bevmo but they only had some shit with like 12% abv, the exact opposite of what I'm looking for.
I found some beers I'm gona try, forgot their names though, they're in the garage fridge but I'll post them later.
