In the country of England, a popular meal is tinned spaghetti on buttered toast.
The Scottish also consume a meal known as 'Macaroni pie'. Macaroni cheese in a pasty casing.
What is wrong with Bongs?
Let us discuss British cuisine

Not much to say. The British are disgusting subhumans. The sad part is that even though their country's food is fucking awful, they still have one of the highest rates of obesity in the world.

The British have the audacity to complain about American's when this is breaking news in their country.

>> No.11651059

What is wrong? They are living on an island. While culinary bloomed in France, Germany or Austrian monarchy because there was so much neighbours and small trading going on... Bongs never could profit from small tradesmen like that, they had to transport everything on huge ships. Their culinary culture got isolated because of that. Another thing, nobility for a very long time - for example, Richard the Lionheart - was speaking only French. English was language of poor masses. And I bet nobility also ate like French, while English culinary culture was formed by low class as well. Eating shit at this point was British identity - to be different from their enemies, French.

my mom would take leftover spaghetti with meat sauce, bake it as a casserole with cheddar chees on top, and i would spoon that on top of crusty toasted french bread. i know, carb on carb. but it was really really good and im a foodie. so fuck off i like it, and you would too if you tried it. however, i bet the scots etc use a sauce with too much sugar, like everyone does (and too watery, and not enough meat, and the bread is lousy). i add no sugar, and i dont use jar sauce with added sugar. flips pasta sauce is like half sugar. ow

Meming aside there is literally nothing wrong with British food. This is a World War-era trope that got out of hand.

British food is less well developed than say French cuisine, but Britain has its own variety of traditional cheeses, sausages, baked goods etc. that can compete with those from anywhere in the world.

Anglo food culture has been centuries of mishaps and tragedies that the locals, being too proud to admit shit happens, became defensive over.

Take the alcohol scene for instance. Left to their own devices anyone living in those geographic circumstances would obviously want to drink, and indeed mostly drink, French wine. And that's what they did, for centuries.

But then a war happened and trade was interrupted, giving a temporary windfall to producers of second-rate beverages: beer, whisky, and gin. This lasted for only a few years but it was long enough for these groups to become rich beyond their wildest dreams. With this money they purchased tariffs to protect their industries.

Fast forward 500 years and bongs are still very confused about wine, it is viewed as an upper class affectation all because of a decade's worth of warfare centuries prior made wine unaffordable to anyone other than the superrich and to a class-obsessed society there is no crime more serious than betraying your own social class and "putting on airs".

Little wonder that their dregs that eventually colonized flyover USA feel the same way about anything good. God forbid anyone enjoy nice things, that's foreign treason!
