Why do tastelets go crazy for this place? Shit is salty as fuck and the shake tastes the same as mcdonalds.

It doesn't taste anything like McDonalds, and I go there because it's right next to my office. Are you suggesting that I should be eating at Eleven Madison Park every day instead?

Never been but I can certainly guarantee it does not taste anything like mcdonalds.

The most similar fast food burger I can think of would probably be culvers, but I think shake shack gets their shit from pretty decent vendors compared to culvers since culvers is in the midwest where real food is basically banned

It tastes nothing like McDonald's and you're a retard who's just fishing for (You)s. Well, good job, you got one.

Danny Meyer is from St. Louis, and he grew up on Steak N Shake. So it makes sense.

OP said the shakes taste the same, not the burgers. That's pretty true for the basic flavors, but the peanut butter is pretty good and doesn't have an equivalent at McDonald's and they do their rotating specialty flavors which can sometimes be great, like snickerdoodle was a top tier shake.

The burgers are solid, but the shroom burger is their best item and, again, doesn't have an equivalent elsewhere.

because new yorkers are idiots, these are the same people that go to cereal bars.

I think it's pretty good. I think part of the popularity for most people, and certainly the reason I like it, is that I never have it unless I'm in a big city, which is maybe once a year if that.. If I had one in my city I'd probably never go and realize it isnt as good as I thought

Shake shack is quite delicious. I love a good SmokeShack while I'm prancing about the Big Apple
