I think my grinder, which was one just like the pic you posted, was somehow lost last time I moved.
I'm hoping for a new one for Christmas so I can get back to sausagemaking.
Real talk, though; it's kind of annoying making sausage alone with one of these. You need a hand to grind it, a hand to stuff the meat in, and one to guide the casing. Two-man job!

How long can ground beef stay in the freezer for? After which point it becomes inedible?

I think it might go bad faster if it has higher fat content, but I've had some 10% fat ground beef that was in the freezer for at least 2 years. It was alright. Didn't make for the greatest burger patties ever but it was still perfectly fine for a chili for example.

I'll take it! I've had some beef in the freezer since September last year and want to use for a spagbol tonight. Hopefully I won't die but fuck it. I'm lonely anyway.

If I can afford to I will but for everyday cooking I just use store brought as its cheaper and the price of "premium" ground beef has gone down here.

Why the fuck would i grind it on my own when the butcher does it in any shop from the meat i want? If you don't raise animals, what's the point of having one of these at home? Maybe if you can buy vacuum sealed ground meat only, which is not the case where i live.

The shitty sort of meat suitable for grinding isn't available for sale in most areas anymore because it's used to make ground meat. Please don't tell me you're wasting good meat just to make your ground meat feel more authentic.

You won't die retard, meat is safe to eat indefinitely when stored in a freezer, the taste and texture will just be dogshit.

Because you can grind it fresh right before you need it.

You can also use them to make you own sausage, or for grinding up other foods. I often use them to grind aromatics for marinades, for example.

You sad man. Are you saying you've only ever had hamburger patties or sausages made with the shittiest cuts of meat?
And I guess you never made your own sausage at all? Fucking hell, man.

If you're producing logs like that you must have a very loose ass.
Can't say I find that surprising.
