Should I stop being vegan?
I know we can be healthy as vegetarian but can we really be healthy without animal products?

All the science is clear: the vegan diet is substantially healthier than non-vegan diets. Here's a recent meta-analysis you can look over if you want. If you want to be healthy, then going vegan is a good first step.

This is only true if you compare the average non-vegan diet where people are shovelling sugar and junk food into their mouths all day. A balanced omnivore diet is going to be healthier than a vegan diet. An omnivore can eat everything that a vegan does plus get benefits from animal foods that you can't get from plants.

Do like you want or your body needs it. Some bodies dont work that as pure vegan. Just like pure meat eaters.
But you can try to go paleo way. Either small times big meat feasts. (If you dont want to hurt animals you can search for meat that is made by giving the animals a good life.)
Or you try to eat a small amount of meat and milk products everyday. (so you stay ecologic good without having the negatives of meatless eating)

Studies shows humans are healthier if they have intervalls of strict diets. So its underrstandable that if you go vegan, because the body is on a diet because less meat.
But omnivore, small dose of meat, milk or eggs and having a body that is slightly above good bmi is the healtiest.

>study says vegan and vegetarian diets help with not being overweight
So it wasn't really comparing balanced omnivore diets, but the average person who eats too much junk food and too much in general with vegans and vegetarians who are much more likely to pay attention and care more about what they're eating, which was my point. All studies show omnivore athletes outperforming vegan athletes on average, except for in some things like marathon running where being underweight is an advantage.

There's no good reason to go vegan for health unless you have heart disease from something else. I can eat chips and cookies and candy all day and be vegan, but I'd be just as unhealthy as the average omnivore who does the same. The only good reason to go vegan is because you don't like modern farming methods or are against the killing of animals, and even that's becoming obsolete with lab-grown meat getting closer to being available in stores. Unless you consider lab-grown meat vegan, which is fine, but not all vegans do and they say it's a bad thing which is shitty to do because it has more potential to help animals than trying to convince everyone to go vegan since it can finally put an end to these issues since we can have meat without killing for it.

you were correct until
>small dose of meat
we are more carnivore than omnivore. meat is the best fuel source for us. we lack the multiple stomachs, long digestive tract, grinding molars, and time needed to consume enough plant matter for our needs, and extract the maximum amount of nutrients from it. herbivorous livestock, however, do. you can get everything you need from meat. from fat to vitamin c. it is unsustainable to live entirely on meat for an extended period of time however, esp for a large population. so some amount of starch, vegetables, or fruit must be cyclically introduced

Look. The facts are these. Vegans are right, but most of us couldn't care less. It's also morally right to avoid environmentally-unfriendly products, and stop using air travel, and spend your weekends working for homeless charities...

But none of us will do that, because we just couldn't care. It's effort. I'm never going to be vegan, many of you won't ever be either.

But then when faced with your own moral laziness your ego can't handle it so you begin making excuses and buying into falsehoods and, all in all, looking dumb as shit in vegan threads. Stop being so retarded and face facts.

In 200 years we'll be able review the lives of a broad variety of vegans and compare it to that of vegetarians and carnists. Then we'll have a solid basis for a hypothesis, and be ready to start trying to understand how viable veganism is. This is the scientific method. But for now, we just don't know.
