What restaurant/s did your family like to eat from when you were growing up? What did you get? For me, it was Ryan’s Steakhouse and the all-you-can-eat salad bar.

Growing up in Wichita Falls, Texas, there was only one option: Ronnie’s Burgers. From the delicious burgers to scrumptious fries to the all-white environment, there was never anything to complain about at Ronnie’s. It’s too bad we couldn’t go after church because they were closed on Sundays, but Ronnie’s God fearing, white nationalist ways were what made it so special.

We never were able to go to fancy restaurants to like Chili's or the outback. My mother always cooked and when we had enough money to eat out we'd go to Sonic. Parents got the brown bag special and we got kids meals. Funny thing is my father started managing one when I was 12, then the whole family ended up working for Sonic and we came out of poverty. Fast food is fucking good money if you can run shit right.

Yeah. Shit was so cash. That first year for Christmas my dad brought home a gallon of maraschino cherries for me. I finished it in 3 days. For the most part we paid 50% though, don't want to be a hypocrite.

Never chains.
Always random pubs.
Fucking love my parents for it... quiet backroad pubs sometimes have incredible menus and food... there's a few me and my family still go to every other month.

i've been wanting to try souplantation. my family used to like ruby tuesday because they had a huge salad bar but they eventually downsized it to just a few basics, and the only other salad bar nearby shut down.

I moved away 15 years ago, but this is a somewhat current menu of the place we used to eat at at least a couple times a week when I was growing up. I keep wanting to go back home for a visit but seeing these prices just makes me spend all my money on vodka instead of saving up and being depressed at how expensive things have gotten.

Thanks, Zuckerberg.
