Actually Japan is likely to lead the way. There is a huge shortage of low wage workers there. Convenience stores are starting to close early because they can't find people willing to work the night shift. The will welcome their new robot overlords with open arms.

Some new studies show Americans actually work more than Japanese in hours, I question how this data is collected though because both Americans and Japanese work a lot of unpaid hours.

If $1 in 1970 is worth $6 today, where is all of that extra money going to?
It's definitely not going into the company because the food hasn't actually improved, it's not going into the restaurants, it's not being used to hire actually pleasant workers, it's not going into any benefit packages for the employees
