I have discovered the joys of foil packet cooking. So long plebs, with your need for any cookware but an oven.

https://alz.org/alzheimers-dementia/what-is-alzheimers/myths
>Myth 4: Drinking out of aluminum cans or cooking in aluminum pots and pans can lead to Alzheimer’s disease.
>During the 1960s and 1970s, aluminum emerged as a possible suspect in Alzheimer’s. This suspicion led to concern about exposure to aluminum through everyday sources such as pots and pans, beverage cans, antacids and antiperspirants. Since then, studies have failed to confirm any role for aluminum in causing Alzheimer’s. Experts today focus on other areas of research, and few believe that everyday sources of aluminum pose any threat.

dementia aside, how do you determine temperature and time? Just estimate based on your knowledge of established recipes or is there some sort of rubric based on each ingredient you use?

You could always just follow recipes but I've been feeling things out. Stuff on the bottom tends to boil and steam everything on top of it with its flavors and this is in addition to everything generally being baked in a tight enclosure. 350F has been working out fine for me.
