Not only that, but it prevents you from making better educated guesses on whether it was a woody breast or not.

How is this bad? How poor are you that $1 is an excessive cost for having someone else do something you can't be bothered to do? Maybe if it were $50 more you'd have a point.

I've made tendies with actual tenderloins and with just breasts. I couldn't tell a difference, but maybe I could if I tried them side by side. The trouble of cutting a breast into 3-4 pieces is nothing compared to making fried chicken tenders, so it seems pointless to me.

Reminder, if you don't remove the tendon in your tendies then you're a pleb tendie maker.

My roommate loves wings. But he refuses to eat them if you buy whole wings and cut them, according to him he only likes the cut ones. Despite explaining to him a thousand times that they are literally the same fucking thing he still insists that he doesn't like them.
Watching him cook is the most infuriating thing I've ever experienced.

Yeah, but what's your time worth? Are you going to use any off-cuts for stock or anything like that?

When I'm in a mood to save for soup, I'll buy a whole god damned chicken and butcher it myself. When I'm strapped for time, it's boneless, skinless, possibly even pre-diced if that's what I'm about that day.
