And such a small amount of it is used in citrus based drinks that you would need to drink 3 liters a day to get the effects of bromine on your system. At that point you'd have several other issues too, for many obvious reasons.

Pepsi removed it from Gatorade because that's a drink a lot of people drank a lot more of and was actually causing issues. Mtn dew? Not so much.

All harm from chemicals is dose dependent. Just because a chemical is harmful when you ingest a gram of it doesn't mean it's harmful when you ingest a milligram of it.
