I hear nothing but negative things about Detroit style on here.
I've honestly never tried it but it almost seems as if Detroit is a flyover/post apocalyptic no-go zone these days.

i'm gonna name some of my favorite pizza places in the chicago area, in no particular order:

louisa's pizza (crestwood, best deep dish in the city)
freddy's pizza (in cicero, sicilian style pizza)
vito & nicks (83rd & pulaski, my favorite thin crust)
rosangela's (evergreen park)
chuck's pizza (beverly)
pat's pizza (lakeview)
art of pizza (lakeview)

i'm not including a lot of places up north and chain places but i'm sure there's a ton of good places i'm forgetting.

also i'd like to remind all of you that no matter what your opinion is, st. louis style pizza is the fucking worst shit ever and there's a reason no one outside of that shithole talks about it.

detroit style is great if you like caramelized cheese crust. jet's pizza was my introduction to it and it's much better than other local pizza places in some smaller cities. they have them in a lot of states i think.

The secret to good ‘go ‘za is the quality of the ingredients.
If they’re not using Heinz ketchup and kraft singles I’m not eating it.
