As someone who compared those directly once (you could get either fresh, expensive fish or one that was fished 2-3 days ago, so I took both and shared with my dad) I agree 100%. Most of the interesting flavour doesn't get lost through freezing and fresh fish really doesn't really make any difference to the customer.
