How does /ck/ feel about the humble turducken?

Looks tasty, even though I have never tried.

I don't eat meat but my parents made it a few times. Lot of effort, but kinda worth it, they say.

>> No.11447568

Sheer idiocy, the best part about roasted bird is the crispy skin, no? With a turducken only the turkey gets nice crispy skin

>> No.11447591

Seems needlessly complicated.

Wouldn't it be faster and easier to cook the three separate?

I think the blend of flavors is the appeal.

Dumb as shit, duck has different cooking requirements than turkey and chicken.

My mother made it a few times for Thanksgiving. Made it in the sense that she roasted it, the turducken came from Cajungrocer or something like that. Pretty good. I prefer the one with the jambalaya stuffing rather than the crabmeat.

People are doing 40 cloves in a chicken. 450 in a fucking camel doesn't seem too crazy.
Cooked garlic is a lot milder than raw.
