It was actually pretty good. Homemade pickled herring, though. That's always better than storebought.
The red stuff is a cut up boiled carrot.
The only real shame is the broken yolk. I think that was my last egg. Otherwise I'd surely have mixed the broken one in and added another whole one before taking the snap.
