I feel good because I eat good food and I exercise, "knowing about avocados" has got nothing to do with it, there are other vegetables and fruits to choose from in this part of the country.

Most people don't understand what "healthy" food is. They think "healthy food" is a block of tofu with raw broccoli or something like that. So they think if all "healthy" food is like that, they might as well just eat whatever they want, because they don't realize that tasty foods can be healthy.

It's similar to when people try to lose weight and they think they have to eat dry salads and boiled chicken instead of just eating less of what they're currently eating.
