American here

Why do we like to put cheese in literally everything?

After reassessing my diet, I've found cheese to play a major role in what I eat. It's almost acting as a condiment of sorts opposed to sauces.

Why... why we do dis?

Supposedly, anatto-dyed cheese was a way to fool people into perceiving an inferior cheddar as one with deeper color made with summer grassfed cow's milk. Which makes no sense to me at all in a better cheese that actually does have a deeper color without the anatto dye. The scam became the tradition. Now you can often spot a shitty cheese by how orange it is. I just read it's an allergen for a lot of people, too. It's fucking shit.

Green vegetables don't provide all the benefits that milk can. Green vegetables are still healthy and you should eat them, though. It's just silly to claim that they both do the same thing.

Maybe most people shouldn't be drinking milk, but that doesn't mean it's bad for everyone. If you look at the global population, it's a small percentage of people who evolved in areas with a focus on dairy and can digest lactose past childhood. It's probably okay for these people, they literally adapted to be able to consume it.

If we didn't eat all that cheese there would be an over production of cow semen and an over production of cows in the U.S. . There's no better way to heard the cows than to eat their children before getting to the point of having to shoot them like we need to dear and turkey when they over populate. Just like how people eat meat because it tastes GOOD, not because of protein. I don't give a fuck about your dumb "crickets are much more efficient source of protein blah blah" arguments. The cheese in America is too fatty. All of the milk-fat taken out of other products goes directly into the making of American cheese. That's why it isn't healthy.

To find use for it, the industry started making "cheese" out of that fat, and started marketing that product as a staple of American diet.
