Whipped cream is literally just cream, which is milked form cows, which is then whipped. There are no other steps or ingredients involved (other than adding sugar of course). You're basically asking us how to make cream, so people told you to raise a cow. It's like if you didn't want to buy milk from the store and asked us how to make milk. First you need to know what cream is. Cream is essentially the denser fat present in milk. Homogenisation, a common process in commercial milk, mixes the cream into the rest of the milk. This is important if you don't have access to a cow.
Obviously, if you truly want it "from scratch", you'll need a cow and you'll need to milk it. As cream is inherently part of raw milk, by letting the milk sit for a while, the cream will slowly begin to rise to the top of your milk. Skim that, and you have raw cream. All you have to do then is to whip it with some sugar and any additions (vanilla, cinnamon, etc.) and you have your homemade whipped cream.
If you don't have a cow (and since you don't want "storebought cream"), you can extract cream from homogenised i.e. regular commercial milk. All you have to do is bottle it up and shake and shake and shake until the butterfat/cream separates from the milk. Like above, all you have to do now is whip it until your desired consistency. You're gonna need a lot of milk for this since the regular fat/cream content in milk isn't that high.

BTW, it's not just "whip some cream." You need to add some sugar and vanilla to give it flavor. Pure whipped cream is kind of bland.
