I'd never eaten at Danny's before until I stayed at a motel overnight during a road trip through the US that had one semi-attached to where I was staying. I didn't pay too much attention to the "main" faire but the Value Menu that was just the ultra-basic PANCAKES, EGGS, SAUSAGE, BACON for varying rates of $2 - $8 depending of how much you got was an outstanding deal considering it was open 24 hours and the sheer volume/amount of food they ended up bringing me (very very quickly as well) was absolutely insane. I know portion sizes in America are obscene compared to where I live but I was fucking floored by how big the pancakes were and how much eggs I got.
The quality won't blow anyone away but for the fact that you can basically pop your fucking stomach open for literal pocket change? At any hour of the day or night, whether you're in a town or big city or deserted highway? THAT'S why people go.
