How do you like your eggs, /ck? Any particular story behind it?

My father used to tease me for having trouble not breaking the yolks on my over-easies as a kid. Broken yolks piss me off to this very day...

Good morning, friend.
I like cutting off the whites entirely because it's nutritionally vacuous and if undercooked is actually an anti-nutrient. Once you realize this, it's like eating rubber.

Can't you just assemble all those into a breakfast sandwich?
Why eat them separate?

Is that the shitty kind of fake bacon? Get tempeh. It doesn't look the part, but it's so much better.

Looks like basic competence, OP, which is more than I can say for most OC these days. Honestly this >>11345572 though. I only eat runny eggs (the only way to eat eggs other than hard boiled) over rice or in a sandwich these days; trying to eat them with a fork on a plate with some toast is just not worth the bother. Gonna pick up some Morningstar next time I go out - it's probably been 15 years since I've had it.

I like over easy but I can't make them without breaking them 8 times out of 10, so I just do sunny side up but try to steam the tops with a lid.

It never gets quite as done as I like but close enough and better than breaking a yolk.

Please, how do you get your eggs like that? What exactly was the technique to get the yolks so close together, yet the whites fluffy?

well thanks for being the 1 person who bothered to share (what i hope is) OC. never really made sunny-side up eggs before, got kinda shitty kitchenware so it's tough to get them to cook through evenly without burning on the bottom by the time the whole top is cooked.

If you have trouble, use a bit of extra butter or oil, and scoop the excess over the eggs. Also make sure your cooking medium low.
