They got dabbed on hard by a conspiracy of large scale chain "mex" fastfood restaurants who were losing huge market share to them and paid off suppliers to contaminate their produce and paid off "news" organisations to put it on page 1. Nothing new here, just late stage capitalism at it's finest.

If that were true, there would be more e. coli, norovirus and listeria outbreaks among other Mexican food chains. Taco Bell hasn't had a problem with this in almost 10 yrs despite having a reputation as disgusting, unsafe and likely to give you the shits. From what I heard, Chipotle food prep put their boxes of ingredients on the floor when they get deliveries, then put them on prep tables, then prep the ingredients without sanitizing the prep table, which is pretty likely to introduce dirt and bacteria into the food.

Chipotle is basically this every time
>get a bowl because anything else is horrible in serving size
>shit ton of rice and ton of beans
>ask for fajita veggies get barely anything always have to ask for extra
>unless you get half and half on the meat the portions are screwed

Chipotle used to have amazing quality food and great portions, Now All That Remains are the portions.

They used to actually cook their steak right there in the restaurant, when it was on the line it was a nice medium tender flavor fresh meat, now it all comes in a bag pre-made. Their hot salsa used to have flavor, now it's just crushed red pepper. I remember when I first started going to Chipotle even without salsa the burrito would be spicy, now it's just Bland.

This is a brand that could really come back hardcore if they would reevaluate the quality of the food they are serving and I don't just mean the non-GMO locally-sourced bullshit that I barely care about I mean actually high quality food being served.

No it isn't. A lot of people don't eat breakfast and even if you ate that much twice in one day you'd still be at 2000 calories which is a good deal less than what most normal adult men today need to eat to maintain a good BMI. I'm emaciated as fuck and even I can eat 1000 calories in a sitting, it's really not that big of a deal.

I think it actually heavily depends on location now.

Fortunately, the Chipotle closest to me (in Chicago) is really great. They are very generous with the portions (including meat) and it is a pretty heavily trafficked Chipotle so most of the stuff is constantly being re-made and is fresh.

I have been to other locations over the years and some a really stingy and have worse quality food.

Also, you have to be willing to ask for more of whatever you want. Obviously that doesn't work with meat, but everything else you can always ask for more.
