Why doesn't this sub have a sticky telling people basic/slightly advanced things they would need to know when it comes to food and cooking?
A sticky like on /fit/. It did help that sub and it made the average poster much more knowledgeable. Wouldn't it improve the content here over time?

Because I'm American and I don't need no FUCKing eurotard teaching me what real food is.

Fuck off. This board is already incredibly slow. If you put up a sticky about basic food knowledge than no one would make threads like "how do I boil an egg?". Then the only threads leftover would be about fastfood.

It's incredibly slow because it's filled with smug douchebags shitposting among themselves.
If you tried to actually educate newcomers you'd increase the numbers. I'd love to know more about cooking, but most of the posts right now are just trash.

No thanks. This board is my secret board vacation board where I can come and look at pictures of food and watch people argue.

Yes, and we're happy here without whiny milquetoasts like yourself

It wasn't condescending. Just saying, even /g/ has a sticky. In fact, practically every normalfag board has one.
It would definitely increase the quality of the board.

Fucking stop. No one but you wants a sticky. No one wants you here. Fucking go back to wherever you came from.

this board used to have pro tip threads that were mostly memes and shitposting about putting salt to water to make it come to a boil faster and such

i havent seen them in a while but a sticky might just bring that shit back

Newfag detected.
Speed-wise /ck/ is around the middle. Not as fast as /a/ or /k/, slightly faster than /out/ but still miles ahead of /t/, /trv/ or /po/

>> No.11316457

/ck/ is slow af compared to /sp/

actually fuck off i want a sticky

i think it would be of great value and maybe the fast food posters would try eating real food and make new threads beyond "how into rice cook" for once

The only sticky we should have is for Ja/ck/ webms.

I wish you luck! Just try proposing an outline for a sticky and in short order it will look like a roll of toilet paper blasted with 4 rounds of buckshot.

There may be basics in common across cuisines, but food is ultimately more subjective than fitness. Some examples that come to mind: you're often advised to brown your meat before simmering in a stew, but there are countless counterexamples. Fried eggs? You might like them just set, people in southeast Asia want them practically deep fried - while their preferred consistency of soft boiled eggs might seem raw to you, etc.
