Since I am not a child I don't change my eating habits based on my mood to any substantial degree, I might have a few beers or eat a mango or something

I got fired from my job two days ago.
Since then I have just eaten chicken and dumplings soup (from a can) and real fruit popsicles. Sipping on some ginger ale. Reminds me of comfy times as a kid being too sick for school so getting to stay home wrapped up cozy on the couch.

Comfort food doesn't mean eating a bunch of disgusting greasy food necessarily. It's just food that makes you feel good, like a good stew with homemade dumplings

I don't think i felt 'happy' in the last 5 years, just cycle between sad, less sad and depressed. I had cinnamon donut once and it was nice.

Lots and lots of cool, refreshing vegetables. Cucumbers are good. Maybe roasted broccoli or brussels sprouts. It lets me stuff myself without going too hard on calories. You sate your fat craving but feel a little better about yourself because it's not 2000 calories of Taco Bell.

>> No.11315284

Basically anything with a ton of fat. One of my faves is skillet fried bratwurst mixed in with buttery Mac and cheese. Alternately garlic sausage or ham fried up with onions and saurkraut. Tastes like my roots.

But ultimately the best comfy food is simple food.
