Today I'm making what I call Sacramento Ragu. All ingredients came locally from the Sacramento valley where I live.

Also general cook-a-long since op and Patti aren't up rn. I'll even start with Tigger in honor of spaghet being his favorite dinner.

That's one thing I miss about the coasts since I live in flyoverville is getting weird cuts like jowls. It's weird, they're scared of some of the best meat products in the best meat raising areas.

I would think that the midwest would appreciate the funny cuts of pork, and I swear to God I almost sprung for the cinnamon sticks and whole cloves when I was at the store this morning, but I still had this pre filled spice rack from my wedding and I am not the wasteful type lol. Took me a while to name him. Had him for weeks but I couldn't tell his personality on account of him being to smol and sickly to do anything but as soon as he got stronk he hopped around my apartment. Wouldn't walk hardly at all just little bounds here and there and always pounced on my big cat. So Tigger it was plus it rhymes with nigger.

Here it is after 6 hours. I'm gonna leave it simmer on high for another couple of hours. I also added a can of tomato paste because it was a little on the thin side from the fresh tomatoes. Luckily I planned for this and invested in a $.38 insurance strategy.
