Microwaves are pretty bad for you, probably shouldn't own one unless you have to.

Microwave radiation vibrates and heats up water atoms. Guess what, the body is mostly made up of water atoms.

I can't do that because I don't own a microwave. Also do you really think some thin sheets of metal and glass can stop radiation? Radiation is able to melt metal sometimes.

Those are not the same thing as literally deadly microwave radiation. Again, microwaves will damage the water atoms that makes up most of your body.

You're completely uneducated on radiation and shielding.
It's easily testable to see if microwave ovens leak the radiation used when cooking, and if they did the 90% of people who own microwaves would quickly notice their bodies being boiled.

You're right in saying that it isn't a quick process, the things that kill you rarely are. But being around a source of radiation like that isn't good for the body. It's like having a chunk of uranium on your mantle, it slowly will destroy your body so why risk it? Is it really so damn hard to heat your food in the oven or on the stove?

>> No.11287556

>> No.11287565

Alright so maybe they are. I still wouldn't put my hand close enough to the stove to hurt it so why do the same with a microwave and harm myself.

>> No.11287581

>>11287565
The only times microwaves emit their non ionizing radiation is when they are on jackass. Its not in any realm similar to a "chunk of uranium"

The shielding covers the rest and what little may leak out DURING USE YOU FUCK, is minimal and harmless because you're not a block of food getting bombarded with concentrated waves you FUCK

>> No.11287732

>>11287581
So you only get blasted with harmful rays of radiation when its on? Wow sounds so fucking safe, its only a chunk of uranium next to you for a few minutes so its okay! Also I already talked about the shielding, little bits of flimsy glass and aluminum will do almost NOTHING to protect you. When you stand around a microwave that's turned on you basically are a block of food being blasted with rays just like your bagel bites.

>> No.11287750

>>11287732
I'd love to strap you down to a chair infront of a microwave and just leave that bitch running for an hour to watch you slowly boil alive.

Unfortunately that isn't how microwaves work so I'll just have to settle with hoping you do us all the favor and jump off a cliff.

>> No.11287780

>>11287750
I would tell you to kys but you're already doing that with your microwave. Throw out that death machine and cook things without radiation in the oven like an actual cook does.

>owning a microwave
Not having a combination microwave/convection-oven/grill in addition to your normal oven.

Why would you deny yourself such an ideal kitchen tool? Convection+microwave is ideal for a baked potato. Microwave is ideal for quickly making some ghee. When you don't need the microwave you still have a small convection oven and grill.
