Convince me not to become a vegetarian, /ck/.
>inb4 be vegan instead
I’m going to raise my own milk goats, layer hens, honeybees, and angora rabbits and I am better than all of you.

WAIT WAIT WAIT
Why are you raising rabbits if you're going to be vegetarian??????????????????????????

>> No.11262834

Do it. Factory farming is ecologocially and economically fucked and ethically dubious at best. Raising your own animals can be really rewarding. I used to have a ~30 head herd of milking cows and I miss them every day.

Angora rabbits specifically are like little sheep, you can and actually have to sheer them regularly and you use their wool just like sheep wool, it is very soft and very warm.

I would euthanize a very old animal that no longer has any quality of life, I would take care of a sick animal like a normal person.

You don't have problem with the fact that to produce the hens you buy all male chicks go through a wood chipper?

Lacto-ovo doesn't make a lot of sense to me, the meat industry is a necessary by product. Milking produces a surplus of babies which have to get rid of, eggs produces a surplus of males ... and slaughter is the only way to deal with it.

The honey and wool are fine though.

You're going to end up abusing those animals by accident because you're a bumbling idiot. This isn't the 80s, so go vegan.

Start a petting zoo.

I’m sure this is true for factory farms since I’ve seen that footage, but you can buy male chicks from a hatchery if you really want to.
