What exactly is 'dishonest' about that? How can any cuisine be 'dishonest' at all, even, unless it's being sold as something it's not?

It's kind of like Blade Runner 2049, dishonest cinematography.

^It's this. Some autistic /tv/ poster tried to force the meme that using colors intentionally makes a movie dishonest or something. I honestly can't even understand what they were trying to communicate because I'm not mentally ill, but that's the reference going on here.

I would guess it's food that sells itself as something it's not. How food would go about that is a whole other train of thought tho. Perhaps to be self aware that the aesthetics suggest it tastes as good as it looks. But we can't taste a picture, so...

It's the perfect pleb magnet. The wannabe film buff, the Fincher and Nolan university graduates, the imdb, and the hot pocket resonance every time zimmermans score blasts.

My understanding is that someone glanced at a Wikipedia article about color theory as it relates to movies and the Dunning-Kruger effect kicked in. So now anything that uses a color to convey a mood in a movie, like the Blade Runner movie that came out last year, is called dishonest by this dude that's trying to push a meme because one scene doesn't match his idea of what the whole movie was supposed to be about.

At least, that's what I guess the paranoid schizophrenic's reasoning is. It's all a little hazy when you try to pick out the fine details. My pet theory is that /tv/'s sperg, /v/'s "fun is a buzzword" guy, and /ck/'s resident soulless vegan are all the same person.
